A word of caution to everyone, the grasslands & forested areas are tinder dry. Please use caution, follow all restrictions regarding mowing, chainsaw usage & outdoor burning. Be sure to obtain a burning permit from your local fire agencies. When camping use, only designated campgrounds & be sure to follow any & all regulations regarding campfires. Make sure your campfires are dowsed with water & completely out, before retiring for the night.
Anytime while in a wildland and/or forested area, always carry an axe, shovel & water bucket with you. Stay on all access roads & never venture off into grassy areas with your motorcycle, ATV or any other motorized vehicle.
With some preparation & a little common sense everyone can enjoy a firesafe experience in the great outdoors, that Oregon has to offer! So let's all pitch-in & do our part, to insure that everyone enjoys a firesafe summer!
